Dunnington Parish Council is organising a street party and fair on Saturday 5th July 2025. Thanks to the generous support of local businesses, this promises to be the biggest and best street party and fair yet!

The event will include picnics on the green (bring your own), refreshment stalls, a cocktail bar, live music and entertainment, a dog show, donkey rides, balloon modelling, face painting, zorbing, and total wipeout! The YO1 Radio roadshow will be in attendance and a brass band will be performing in Dunnington Reading Room. And to round off the event, there will be a kids disco at Dunnington Sports Club.

Timings

The event will take place between 12:30-6:00pm.

12:30pm	Street party kicks off! (Road closure in place) Food and drinks available (Common Rd) (Coffee van, ice cream van, Yorkshire scotch eggs, hog roast, Louisianna’s cocktail bar, wood fired pizza, cakes and craft stalls)
12:30pm–3pm	Mixtapes live music (Common Rd/Intake Ln)
12:30pm–5:30pm	Kids entertainment (Intake Ln/Playing fields) (Zorbing, Total Wipeout, face painting, balloon modelling)
1pm–2pm	Mobile pianist (Cross Keys)
1pm–2:30pm	Brass band, craft stall, food and refreshments (Reading Room)
2:30pm–3:30pm	Fun dog show (see below for details)
2:30pm–3:30pm	Mobile pianist (Reading Room)
3pm–5:30pm	The Counterfeit Celts Irish music (Common Rd/Intake Ln)
6pm	Kids disco (Sports Club) (Road reopens)

Note: Dunnington Parish Council reserve the right to change the timings or cancel events.

Fun Dog Show

Starting 2.15pm on the Green by Julia's Garden

Calling all dog owners! As part of the village street party celebrations, we invite you to enter your precious pooch in a fun dog show!

We know that Dunnington is a village of dog lovers and we have a range of classes for your dog to compete in!

Free to enter and no need to register in advance. Just turn up on the Green by Greenside.

Timings and Classes

2:30pm - Pup (under 1 year)
2:40pm - Adult (1-7 years)
2:50pm - Veteran (over 7 years)
3:00pm - Best Trick
3:10pm - Wagging Tail
3:20pm – Musical Sit Competition
3:30pm – Judge’s Favourite

Rules:

Dogs will not be able to enter once the judging has started so please be there before the start of each class.
All dogs must be kept on leads and under control.
For each class dogs will be in a ring formation with the judge standing in the middle.
The judge will not handle the dogs.
The judge’s decision is final.
