Allotment Charges

ALLOTMENT CHARGES FROM 1ST April 2024


The following charges apply with effect from 1 April 2024

PLOT SIZE

RESIDENT

NON-RESIDENT

FULL PLOT

£52.00 per annum

£63.00 per annum

HALF PLOT

£26.00 per annum

£32.00 per annum

Until further notice the above rents will increase annually on the 1st April each year by the CPI rate of inflation published for February and rounded up to the nearest pound.

The above method for calculating the rents will be reviewed in the event of any exceptional circumstances.

BOND

FULL PLOT

£100.00

HALF PLOT

£50.00

Bonds will be held in a ring-fenced account and returned to the plot holder if the plot is left in good condition at the end of the tenancy. However, the bond will not be returned if the plot requires clearing.

A photograph of the plot will be taken at the time of letting as a record of the state of the plot.

If you would like to rent an allotment please contact the Parish Clerk and ask to be put on the waiting list. Plots will be allocated on a first come basis with Dunnington residents having priority over non-residents.

Plots

Resident:

Full Plot / £50 per annum

Half Plot / £25 per annum

Non-Resident:

Full Plot / £60 per annum

Half Plot / £30 per annum

(These charges only apply to new plot holders from 1 April 2022)

These charges become effective on 1 April 2022 and will increase annually on 1 April each year by the CPI rate of inflation*, rounded up to the nearest pound, until further notice. (*The rate of inflation will be based on the published February rate)

These rent review provisions will be reviewed if there any exceptional circumstances.

Bonds

Full Plot / £100

Half Plot / £50

A photograph of the plot will be taken when it is let to a new plot holder as a record of the state of the plot at that time.

The bonds will be held in a ring-fenced reserve and returned if the plot is left in good order at the end of the tenancy or used for plot clearance only if necessary.

Other

A plot waiting list will be held by the Parish Clerk and plots will be allocated as they become vacant on a first come first served basis with residents having priority over non-residents.
