Village Green – Horse Chestnut Tree Update

Following an independent inspection by a representative from City of York Council, the Horse Chestnut tree on the Village Green has been assessed as unsafe and is required to be felled on safety grounds. 

The Parish Council recognise that this will be disappointing news for residents; however, public safety must remain the priority. 

A planning application has now been submitted, and the work will be carried out in accordance with the planning process.
